I love to make things and share them with someone else who I hope will also love it. And when I hear “Where did you get that?” I smile when the reply is “Jan made it.”

I make things I need, things I want, things someone else needs or wants, I make something because I want to learn the technique, and I make a lot of things just because they’re cute.

I have a hard time getting out of a craft or fabric store empty-handed, so of course, I have a huge stash of all manner of fabric, supplies, and materials. I’m also an avid second-hand shopper, haunting flea markets, thrift stores, garage sales, and especially estate sales so I have an equally large stash of rescued materials: fabric, trim, notions, yarn, and the tools for dozens different creative crafts and fiber arts. I really enjoy taking something old and making it into something new.

I’m a writer, a photographer, and I love to cook.

I don’t always finish what I start–at least not right away–but I’m always working on something.

I am so sorry to just now respond! I just now saw your comment! I don’t have the machine I used to make these tiles anymore so I can’t make anymore tiles right now. I’m looking at getting a different machine of my own I can use, but for now I can’t make anymore of these.

    Hello Jan,
My name is Juanita Stansberry and I make handbags. I have been looking for the baseball fabric – ” take me out to the ball game” for years. Only need about a yard.
Do you know where I can find it?????

      Hi Juanita,
That fabric came to me from a friend who got it at a flea market so that’s all I had. But I’ve had several comments about it and realize how “rare” and desired it is so I’m on the lookout for more. I’ve already planned to buy whatever I can find when I come across it again. We have a couple of fabric stores that get bolts of discontinued upholstery fabric so I’m on the lookout for it. Do you know who the manufacturer is? Maybe they should reissue it.
      Thanks for finding me!

    Jan,
I am also looking for the baseball fabric. I have some pillows and window cornice made out of the fabric. I would love to find more to have a chair upholstered with it for our sports room. Please contact me if you find anymore. Yours is the first time that I have found the “Take me out to the Ballgame” pattern online.

I’m on the lookout for more of this fabric now that I know how coveted it is. I’ll let you know if I score some more!
