This cotton dress is perfect for the back-to-school transition, a comfy sun dress for hot classrooms, but the fall colors won’t look out of place when October rolls around. She can wear it over a t-shirt for everyday and a long sleeve tee with matching tights will dress it up for nicer occasions. It also works well over a pair of jeans or leggings.
I like this copper colored fabric because it works like a solid color, but it’s not. I picked the stripe because it matches the copper. The subtle shades of copper and gold add interesting details to the ruffled neck and hem band. Ecru eyelet provides a second layer of ruffle for extra interest at the neckline.
This cotton dress is 25″ from shoulder to hem.
The shoulder ties are beige grosgrain ribbon.
Elastic is enclosed in the casing.
All seams are finished inside.
Hair bows and flower hair clips to come. Tell me what you want and I’ll make something to order. I’m thinking about a copper fabric headband, at least an inch wide, with a flower or two or three made of fabric and eyelet. Any takers?
